Waste is delivered to the site from own waste transport and from waste producers. Upon arrival, the waste is inspected visually for possible hazardous waste content, contamination with hazardous substances, foreign matter content of more than 0.5%, and compliance with the delivery note and waste management permit.
After the visual inspection, the incoming waste is weighed on a certified scale and registered. They are then deposited in one of the waste storage places marked with the appropriate waste identification code and label. Incoming non-hazardous waste is stored in 60 or 120 litre plastic bags or BIG-BAGs. The maximum amount of waste that can be stored on the site at any one time is 170 tonnes.
In the pre-treatment sorting room, mixed plastic waste is sorted manually by colour and type of material (E02- 05, E02-06) and other types of waste are removed. The waste generated during sorting, which cannot be recovered by the waste treatment technology, is disposed of in a workplace collection point until it is handed over to the licensee.
